Was born in Moscow on 20 July 1978. In 1988 she was admitted to the Moscow Academy of Choreography. She graduated in 1997 (Sofia Golovkina’s class). Fresh from the Academy she started working in the Bolshoi Theatre ballet troupe. Now Maria Alexandrova works in the class of M.T. Semenova, with her constant choreographer-rehearser Ò. N. Golikova.

Brilliant technique, exquisite atristic merits together with a certain amount of aplomb enabled her to be given solo parties in her very first season. Among which are:

1997  - Mirta (" Giselle ", V. Vasiliev’s version)
