For the first time Maria Allash was noticed as a budding ballerina in her " Chopiniana " at a college concert, and later in " La Silphide ". But step by step her romantic nature yielded to that of a resolute queen. In this silphide there was hidden fire of fearlessness. Gentle Fairy of Lilac and hurt in her feelings Gamzatti are the two of her basic makings.

The sensation of the evening was a young dancer Maria Allash, who is considered to make another Sylvia Guillem or Jasley Crickland of our time. In spite of her young age this girl is perfectly endowed for this task: beautifully shaped legs, perfection of physique, light and easy jump, graceful movements, dazzling beauty and artistic insight ".

Mariya Allash enacted and polished her Gamzatti with the preciseness which does credit to a jeweller.

Having been hackneyed in dozens of competitions, the variation appeared fresh and in the harmony that distinctly proved the same virtues of the ballerina which had been first revealed in the school “Classical symphony". The plastic of the danceress was precisely following the perfectly distinct choreography. Without any excessive temperament her manner of dancing was really impressive. She showed profound interest and carefulness in performing stagings, which is rear for a modern ballerina.
