Chernykh Mikhailovich (baritone)
Honoured Artist of Russia – 19 November, 1997.

He was born in Moscow. In 1987 he got higher education at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire (Eugenie Nesterenko’s class).
In 1988 he joined the Bolshoi Opera Company as probationer, in 1990 he became soloist.

Pavel Chernykh is the II prize laureate at the International Anto¬nin Dvorak Students-Vocalists Competition in Carlovi Vary (Czechoslovakia, 1987); the special prize-winner of Czechoslovak radio for the best performance of a vocal cycle by modern composers.

In August 30, 1988 he joined the Bolshoi Company as probationer, soloist - since July 11, 1990.
