Àndrey Dunaev was born in Sayanogorsk
in 1969. Upon his graduation from the musical school (accordion
class) in 1984 he was admitted to Stavropol Music College,
where he received qualification of folk choir conductor.
À. Dunaev started his course in singing
in 1992 in Moscow State Institute of Culture with Professor
M. Demchenko. In 1997 he continued his education at the Moscow
State Conservatoire in the class of Professor P. Skusnichenko.
À. Dunaev is the winner at the International
Bella Voce Competition of Vocalists in 1998, "Neue Stimmen"
in 1999, "Orfeo" (Hanover, Germany) in 2000. He
won a special prize at the International Belvedere-2000 Competition
of Vocalists in Vienna.
The same year he took part in the German
TV "Stars von Morgen" program, with Montserrat Ñàbàllå
presenting the young musicians to the public.
In 2000 À. Dunaev joined the Bolshoi
Theatre Opera Company and made his successful debut in the
role of Alfredo in G. Verdi’s " La Traviata ". He
took part in the Bolshoi Theatre productions as Lensky in
" Åugene Onegin " (by P. Tchaikovsky), as Vladimir
Igorevich in Borodin’s opera " Prince Igor ", Rudolfo
in G. Puccini’s "La Boheme".
À. Dunaev takes part in concerts on a
regular basis. With the Kazan Opera Company he has toured
Holland, Germany, France, Great Britain, singing the roles
of Fenton in G. Verdi’s " Falstaff " and that of
Duke in "Rigoletto".
He is the II premium winner at the XII
International P.I.Tchaikovsky Competition. |
